It’s New Year and we have new reading fun here at Saint Patrick's! Especially as 2026 has just been named the National Year of Reading: promoting reading for pleasure, and using books as a way to reconnect reading with the things that already inspire us – from playlists and football matches to films, food and family time.

There are many ways in which we will be marking this special year. The week commencing the 2nd February is National Story- Telling Week where children will hear from story tellers as well as having time to create their own stories. There will be many initiatives and events coming throughout the year! We will also be launching 'Book Bingo'. Please see below for a copy of this! We can't wait to hear how you get on!
